The Informatics curriculum combines theory and practice, giving students a strong academic foundation and the skills employers need.
Students choose a specialization that fits their interests and career goals, supported by outcome-based education (OBE) and the national Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) programme.

Curriculum principles
Outcome-Based Education (OBE)
Every course is designed from the graduate learning outcomes. The Faculty of Engineering regularly refines semester learning plans (RPS) so that content, assignments, and assessment match those outcomes.
Learning through cases and projects
Classes use Case-Based and Project-Based Learning (CBL-PBL): students solve real cases and build projects instead of memorising theory.
Three specializations
Intelligent System (AI Engineer), Cyber Security, and Mobile Application and IoT, practised in six laboratories. Explore the specializations.
MBKM and industry experience
Students can join industry internships and Kampus Merdeka programmes such as the Certified Independent Study; UJB Informatics students have won the best Capstone Project award in the Dicoding independent study programme.
Projects and diploma supplement
Student projects are exhibited at the annual Smart Project Showcase, and achievements outside class are recorded in the diploma supplement (SKPI).
How you learn
